Puppy dog eyes - design by Shelley Prior
This post is to catch you up on what I've been doing behind the scenes :-) I had been taking some courses at college that finished up. We had a week of holidays in Lancaster PA at the Sight and Sound Theatre. We saw "Joseph".
So now the summer is mine to work on decorating in my house and concentrate on my ART!!!!
I taught an Artist's Sketchbook course at Coast to Coast - a decorative painting conference in Toronto this April and met some great people who wanted to start to work on their drawing skills and develop their creativity by keeping an Art Sketchbook of their own...It's the first time I had taught this course in a classroom setting - and of course in 6 hours you can't cover everything that's in my longer 8 week online course...but we covered quite a bit in 6 hours! :-)
My online Sketchbook course was held in an online group. I posted the information each week and then people shared the lessons as they worked on them each week. It was all about prompting your sketchbook so you always have something to work on to develop the habit of drawing daily.
I also took a graphite drawing class at Coast to Coast conference with Shelley Prior - It was called Puppy Dog eyes... Isn't this the most adorable puppy picture ever??? Totally done in pencil. I only had a little bit of finishing to do when I got home. I love it! What do you think?
It was the first graphite drawing that I had done since I was around 12 and I got a Jon Gnagy Learn to Draw kit for Christmas. :-)
